Ben's Mind

My name is Ben Sanders (pronouned Ben Sanders). I live in Urbandale, IA with my wife, three wonderful kids, and 2.5 comical pugs and a 0.5 comical pugshire.

I enjoy being the geek that I am and exploring new technologies. I grew up on classic ASP and then moved to Java, some PHP, then finally landing my home with C#. I also know my way around a database and XML extremely well. I’m excited to tinker in objective-c and Android programming in some upcoming projects.

I’m very involved with my church both in technology and running the sound board for the band and service. I enjoy observing God’s creations through science and technological advancements and discoveries. I just refuse to believe we are awaiting the mothership to beam us away.

You could also peg me as somewhat of a Renaissance Man – I cook, baked, draw, build computers, enjoy time outdoors, etc. I bake some awesome cheesecakes, scotchies, and other desserts. I also try to never miss an episode of Cake Boss. I also love trying new recipes and working with new ingredients.

When I do get to watch some TV, I usually catch Ghost Hunters, Cake Boss, Mythbusters, Billy the Exterminator, Dirty Jobs, Whale Wars, and Burn Notice.
